Slothrust is my favorite band, and I bring as many of my friends and family as possible to the shows in DFW.
This time, I'm aiming bigger.
I want to make sure the show sells out.
Slothrust is a band based out of Los Angeles, comprised of guitarist/singer/songwriter extraordinaire, Leah Wellbaum, with the excellent Will Gorin on drums. They put out a wide variety of music, including their early garage rock days, bombastic 90s covers, and tighter, more complex compositions further into their career. Their new album, What They Grow In The Garden, is out September 18th. Their new single sounds like this:
I'm a Dallas transplant who has gotten it in his head that he should see Slothrust as many times as humanly possible. The Denton show will be the 27th time I've seen them over the past 10 years.
I fell in love with their sound immediately upon hearing their music, and I want everyone to know that they're some of the most incredible musicians and songwriters I've ever heard. They're also unbelievable live!
Discovering new music, a celebration of art made by humans, community, supporting local venues, and a fun weeknight outing for a cool $28.13 per person. You can also meet the band if you'd able to come out early!
